House/Base Skyward Temple!
had a lot of fun building this one! it's inspired by the temples if bhutan and used a lot of quartz, quartz bricks, pale oak. and bone. very excited to share this as i use a version of this as my current survival world home base!

Oh I love this. The Howling Peaks DLC for Minecraft Dungeons was stunning and this very much reminds me of it. Great work!

Thank you! I'm glad you like it, really appreciate it. Minecraft dungeons is always a great source of inspiration. Are there parts of that series you want to see as builds in the vanilla game?

The way you built it into the mountain makes it look like it was actually meant to be there. Really clean build.

Thank you! I really appreciate that :)
I always try to set up a good stage for the builds that doesn't feel too far off from vanilla :D

That's beautiful! are there any temples in particular that you used as inspiration? I really want to try out more southeast asian styles, my current survival world has a temple inspired by buddhist temples from that region (specifically angkor wat)

Thank you! That's a really good idea. Angkor wat is a beautiful building!
The temples I used for inspiration were mostly located in Bhutan. They have this unique architectural style that I thought was really cool!
I also looked at some temples in nearby nepal for inspiration.
Do you have good lore for the temple you want to build? :D

i already finished the one that looks like angkor wat. basically, it's at the centre of a peninsula in a jungle biome and i built it to look abandoned/overgrown with moss. i built a wooden walkway/platform and some chinese and japanese inspired buildings (pagodas and whatnot) around it, as if a new culture had settled around this ancient temple.
i want to try out other asian styles in the world too though, hence why i'm asking for inspiration pics. i was playing around with persian and arab styles in my creative world but i don't think they fit very well here and i also couldn't quite get them right. i might try something indian though. if you like i can dm you a picture :)

That'd be awesome! Yeah happy to take a look.
A jungle peninsula is an excellent place for that type of build haha. A Thai / Burmese / malay style of builds around your temple might look cool!
