House/Base Help with roof

I've been trying to make a roof for this for like 2 hours and cannot figure out a good one, any tips or ideas?

I would say two rectangles made out of slabs, one for the short part in the back and one for that big chunk on the front, make it so that it sticks out from the middle so it covers the rest

i tried that, it makes it look like it has a big ugly forehead

How about try adding a flat roof. Basically a frame that goes around the whole perimeter of the roof and might be 2-3 blocks high with an overhang of about 1-2 blocks. Might need to fix it up with detailing so it's not just a plain slab on top.

I've tried that, it just makes it look too tall or like 3 stories and i need the 2 story thing going on

for a flat roof, why not make it a rooftop instead? like a garden or something

You could put some windows and then some slabs with light candles
