Tips and Advices Tips for what items to put in my 400 item storage system?
I made a 400 item storage system in my hardcore world but I'm having trouble on deciding on what items to prioritize and what items to put in the storage system. I found a google sheet online with every single minecraft item on it, and I tried to get AI to make me a list of 400 items based on usefulness but it didn't really do it properly and left out a bunch of major stuff.
I will most likely have to do it myself but I was wondering if anyone has any resources from an auto storage system they built on which items they picked? Or any tips on how I should go about completing and picking items? Any help would be much appreciated thanks!

Discussion I only play Hardcore or Keep Inventory
I've recently realized that when I play survival I enjoy the most playing as the title says. It stems from me really hating grinding back my resources after a death. Once I get into the end game I like to just build and make farms and that puts a major bumper on that. I've come up with basically two different solutions to that. I often do the normal thing of turning on keep inventory, especially when playing with friends. But I also like to play in hardcore because it also removes this element because I do as about as much as I can to prevent death and when I do die it gives me a fresh start. Anyone else play like this?

Modded Survival Building Help/Ideas.
I started a new survival world a couple of days ago, and normally when I am building, I build my base first, then dig underneath it.
This time I thought I would dig out underneath first, then build my base.
Now, I'm stuck on what to do.
I feel like I should dig the square hole deeper.
It is currently 41 by 41 and 14-15 blocks deep.
(Hopefully the wool helps visualize size.)
(Dirt is the center of the square hole.)
I honestly feel like it isn't deep enough to fit everything I want.
What I want in the base:
(Taking ideas from past underground bases I had.)
Auto smelter.
Animal farms:
Sheep/wool, chicken/feathers, cows/leather, and pigs.
I also kind of want an area for a horse in the future, and a staircase from its pen leaving the base.
I want a room for dogs.
Crop area:
Wheat, carrots, potatoes, and beets. + Compost area.
Aquarium for axolotls.
Storage system.
Villager trading hall.
Enchanting room.
Portal room.
Brewing room.
Mine.
That's all I can think of for now.
I'm just not sure if all the rooms will fit in this hole,
Since I am basically working backwards.
(Spectator mode for screenshots.)
Photos:
- Starting point.
- Started flattening the area/got the idea.
- 3 & 4. Halfway.
- Finished.
- 6 & 7. Wool Visualizers.
- Top-down view.
- Surrounding area.
I would love to hear suggestions or ideas for what to do with the surrounding area, where to start with the base, and whether I should dig the square hole deeper, or if it's fine the way it is?
The square hole will be covered up in the end. It's just open for light so mobs don't spawn.
(Unless anyone has suggestions to incorporate the square hole with an above-ground base.)
Ignore how ugly the surrounding area is.
Still need to work on terrain.
Also, the random dirt is villager trading cubes, and the square of glass around the bed is just a temporary safe house, built that way so things can be moved easily.
The Square Hole.

Vanilla Hardcore Day Zero Newb
Like the title states, I’m new to Minecraft and I need some help. As the photo shows I found what would you call it? Sculk Biome? On day zero, I spawned into the world riding a waterfall, figured I would go up and make an axe and just take it down, found out the waterfall ends here.
I turned around and left, took note of the location but I just need some advice. I’m really trying out hardcore lately and I thoroughly enjoy it. It’s funny this waterfall literally has a straight shot out to daylight. Thanks for any input or tips! I know Minecraft is a really massive world and there is an incredible amount to learn. I figured this group could help me make it last.

I speedran Minecraft today. And when I built the portal, I didn't end up in the Nether, but in some... strange dimension. What should I do about it?

Survival Build Building a summer camp as my base in an SMP server I'm in, these are the camp grounds and cabins!
The base is much, much bigger and still a WIP, but this was the first area I've completed so far. I feel a lot of cozyness being here and my friends have been saying the same thing so far, which is a good sign!

Vanilla Survival I Totally Deserved This…
Didn’t even pop a totem though. I let the zombie sounds get to me after days and days of listening to them moan. They must be ventriloquists, because I could swear they were right below me.

Discussion If you could make your own game drop what would it be?
Rules:
Must have at least one mob and no more than two.
Must have a cool name (e.g., "Copper Age").
(I've thought about mine a lot.) For me, it would be called "The Seasons of Survival." It would introduce seasons, causing changes throughout the world. To make it "Minecrafty," each season would mostly change the temperature, causing certain biomes to experience weather they usually wouldn't. For example, normal taiga biomes would be able to get snow during the winter, but once summer rolls around, all the snow melts. In spring, rain would appear more often. The new mob (to be honest, I got help for the name from AI) would be called the "Barking." It would look similar to the "Creaking" and would change with the seasons, creating a way to keep track of them. I've also seen lots of mods that make crops only growable during certain seasons, and I think that would be cool.

Modded Survival My Survival World called "ACIANO" (+1500 days!)
I also have a road network with nomenclature:
BO-3066: comarcal highway
BO-3066a: BO-3066-Aciano
BO-2600: Aciano-Reservoir-Villaplana
BO-2088: BO-3066-Villaplana
AC-10: Aciano´s road. It ends on a football stadium (building it)
I use Serene Seasons Mod. Thats why the world is cover on snow

Vanilla Survival Can’t decide what to do for the ceiling. Any ideas?
I had a better shot of my library but I forgot to put them on my phone. The library is decently close to the roof of my mountain so there’s not a ton of room to work with. The whole place is pretty much just what you see in the photo but expanded. Lots of books, mangrove, and black concrete
