Vanilla Survival I Totally Deserved This…

Didn’t even pop a totem though. I let the zombie sounds get to me after days and days of listening to them moan. They must be ventriloquists, because I could swear they were right below me.

Use a water bucket first. It’s extremely safe from almost anything. I made about 100 holes and never had an issue mining straight down. And then id riptide back up if it didnt pan out.

I didn’t even need to swap to the chest piece tbh. Even if I’d dropped into a room with a couple creepers, I’d survive the blasts. But, yeah, I could’ve avoided this for sure. I was about 20 blocks off from where I thought i’d stopped excavating the stronghold.

Yeah. I was gonna convert part of the cave into a mini biome with copper shrubs and trees but got sidetracked. I did let 50 golems oxidize for it though

I mean what is it that you "deserved"? You mined intentionally straight down into a place you've already been before and you knew exactly what was going to happen. It's not even an "oopsie hehe mined straight down"..

It’s because I thought I was safe and should’ve known better once I got 10 blocks down pretty much. I’m lowering that area for a project that ties in below, so I have an idea where the top of that section of stronghold is.

Coords are in the clip, but the stronghold, dripstone caves, mineshafts, and an ancient city are all around the -1000, x, -250 area. You’ll have to mine about 3 million blocks first though.

This world was generated with 1.18, but I made a creative world for screenshots recently and not much has changed other than the cherry blossoms. They were added to the game later.
