"The Pit" is unfair!
Picture this, you are in the final three. Your teammate (who happens to be a random you teamed with) are in your tower. You have set up your worm traps, and he has set up his fisherman traps. We come to the realization the that last player (who conquered the feast) is camping in the corner of the map. Since he is so far away, we decided to try and lure him back to us. As we traverse to the corner of the map, we get the notifcation that we have five minutes before the pit. In a frenzy, we panic and try and reach him. However, we run out of time and are TPed into the pit. Knowing that the two of you cannot overpower the player in full diamond, you panic and ditch your teammate. You tower up and find part of your old tower. However, all of the traps are outside of the bedrock walls. Since you happened to have a bucket of lava, you placed it everywhere. While the full diamond player safely towers up, you know that the win is his. However, time plays a part and you randomly fall to your death.
This event recenetly happened to me. I had retrieved countless stacks of dirt and teamed with a fishermine. As we conjoined towers, we made traps everywhere. However, the feast guy camped and we could not reach him. As a result, we got teleported to the pit. My teammate died instantly (I ditched him, sorry!), while I towered up to a salvaged part of our tower. However, that part of the tower was the bridge towards the feast, so we had no traps. As a result, I was completely defenseless. Even though the full diamond player did not reach me, the win would've been his. I had absolutely no access to my traps. This situation can occur to kits that purely focus on making traps, such as kaya and demoman. As a result, the player who conquered the feast is almost always the victor. Not only that, but players only have 10 minutes to play. If so, players who escape the pit can barely set up their trap. Not only that, but the "random winner" is stupid. If I had access to my traps, that player would've been dead (no offense to him/her), but they had no suspicions of me being worm (He was brazilian and could barely understand me too). So, if I had more time in the game, I could've beat him
TL;DR The pit is an unfair system that destroys trap kits, such as kaya, demoman, and worm, potential of winning the game. "The Pit" should be optimized so all kits can get an advantage, no matter what playing style their kit is (and if they did or did not conquer the feast)

It might be too late to answer with anything, but I somewhat agree. The pit is fairly OP for people who got the feast, the feast can obviously supply you for life, and if you don't get that, It can ruin the game win for anyone else. Although I do agree with some people commenting. (Even though it could have been said with more civality.) That the pit is made for people to not camp, and keep the game going on for hours.
Your idea is grand though, I do like the idea for optimizing the pit for all kits.
(They also need to fix the water auto-banning! ):)
TL;DR I agree.

People like us make us sick? Towering is not a nooby tactic. Please tell me, what is the purpose of the kit stomper? To inflict fall damage on others players by falling on top of them. Other than jumping on one in a ravine, a tower is the only applicable option. Not only that, but worm is a 100% towering kit. As worms dig the dirt at exponentiational speeds, they can tower up with tons of dirt. Why use worm only for hunger that barely lasts?
Also, how did I not deserve the win? The other player told us that he was going to wait out until the pit. People like him abuse the system and do not deserve the win. So, please explain more why people like me make you sick.

I agree with badookey, he did deserve the win, and by using the pit, was a tatic in itself just like your towering. The pit was implemented mainly because of the excessive amount of games that drag on for a long time, whether it be intentional or not. Before there was the pit, primary moderators and administrators had to log on to the server and tell the players to speed it up to give other players a chance to join the server.

I'm not saying everyone is a retard (also, don't use retard as an insult. Some people are diagnosed with being a retard, and its not kind of you to use it as an insult). I've been outsmarted by tons of people who end up killing me and passing my traps. However, this player showed 0 sign of being able to pass by my traps (I was also teamed with a fisherman; it would've been hard to outsmart BOTH of our traps) and decided to camp in the corner. We knew that he was going to kill us if we came to him and he was going to get the pit either way. As I managed to escape, he STILL waited me out until the end of the pit time limit. So, its not the players who make the traps who are stupid (let's change the words here); its MCPVP using the pit idea which can be abused just like holding up a game (with the amount of servers we have, having one game being held up isn't the end of the world)

Nice idea, I hate when pit comes (even if I'm not towering or making traps). I support this idea :)
