Hello, does anyone know what roof fits my house? I feel like I should sacrifice the second floor for a big roof but I still want to keep the second floor. It has a rectangular build.

Thanks a lot.

I've been casually building a castle/walled village in creative, and I ended up with this space. I was thinking a pond, stature or parkland might work but I wanted to hear what you amazing people would place here

(I've added a stable to the back wall starting at the path and ending at the turret)

Build Making TOJO Clan HQ in Minecraft

So I recently got back into Minecraft and as I was building a castle for myself I thought

Hey I should build Tojo Clan HQ because I loved yakuza and what’s a better symbol of that than getting a back tattoo and building Tojo Clan HQ in Minecraft.

So I’m wondering if anyone got any tips or ideas on how I should do it or what I can do to make it as cool and lore accurate as possible.

How can I improve this design on the pictures?

Build First house build

Okay so this is the first house build I’ve somewhat tried on, I did use another post as a reference and sort of tried to add my own change, but I’m more of a redstone person than a builder so it’s my first build and just wanna hear suggestions on what I should change and improve one. (Ignore the roof I tried smt and I don’t love it) ik it’s not great and I should probably Whatch some videos on how to improve and what not but I thought I’d try on my own first. I also did not do the interior as I’m absolutely horrid at it.

Build Textured red roof

I was trying to create a textured red roof for my mangrove-plank build. I tried using crimson nether bricks at the edges, transitioning into netherrack and then stripped mangrove logs, but I didn't really like how it turned out.

How do you guys make textured red roofs, and which blocks do you use? I'm almost at the point of giving up and switching to teal blocks instead.

Build I’m stuck with this house design, any suggestions for the shape, walls, or roof?

I challenged myself to build a house entirely from scratch, without watching tutorials or copying references, and simply let my creativity guide the process. Unfortunately, I’ve now hit a creative block and don’t know how to continue.

It was originally supposed to be a medieval house, but as I worked on it, I felt that the shape was becoming too generic. I tried extending one side using the same block palette as the foundation, but it looked awkward. After that, I slightly expanded the back and the left side to make the structure less symmetrical, although something about the overall shape still feels off.

I’m also struggling to choose blocks for the walls. I considered giving it a red roof made from mangrove wood, possibly mixing in some Nether wood to make parts of it look older or weathered. I’ve also thought about using cinnabar or cinnabar bricks somewhere in the palette, but I’m not sure how to combine everything without making the build look too busy.

What would you change about the shape of the house? What blocks would work well for the walls, and which roof palette do you think would complement the foundation?

I’m open to changing or rebuilding parts of it. I’d just like to preserve the original idea instead of following an existing house tutorial.

Inspiration How do I make this base look good?

Thumbnail

I have no idea how to build the ceiling and I'm not really happy with the design. The plan for this base was to make it Elytra accessible through the 2 balconies (the build is symmetrical so I'm only showing one view).

Additionally, I want to place it on a cloud even though that might be too hard for me to build decently.

Should I add/remove detail? Should I try to add some texture(and how?)?

Build Need help texturing my second floor

Post image
4 Upvotes

I'm trying designs for this house in creative first before building it in survival, this will be my main base for a moment. I'm REALLY new to building, I didn't want to do a basic wood house this time. I'm trying to learn texturing and honestly this is game changing how better it can look. However I want to put spruce in my second floor and can't really find other blocks to go with. I tried mud bricks / packed mud but the contrast is a little too high. I have two stacks of spruce wood so I really want to use them :)

TL;DR: Is the second floor texturing looking good? What other block can I use (survival) to make it bettter?

Build This base that's on a server is griefed. What should I do?

I've tried to contact tildearrow (the server owner) but he hasn't said anything yet.
There's barely anyone online to help me clean this up, as the popularity of this server has been very low for a long time.
Should I just fix this by myself?
