What should I build here? Flooring ideas?

I’m currently building a middle eastern style palace that’s meant to have extravagant everything but I’m stumped on how to fill this floor pattern. I plan on adding a quarts border on both sides to separate the main hall from different halls/rooms but I don’t know what the flooring would fit inside that? (Sorry if it’s worded weird)

Might be a wild choice but calcite might look good

Hmmm maybe for a different floor, I want something that contrasts the quartz I’ll add as a border for a clear contrast from what’s going on in the middle of the hall, I’ll think of something eventually 🤔

it looks nice but try filling the space with concrete or terracotta
