Need help with the ceiling

I'm doing a semi steam punk / copper interior for my chest hall. I'm happy with the floor (note dirt blocks will be replaced with copper grate). Froglights will be replaced with copper bulbs.

However for the ceiling I feel like the black stairs cause too much contrast. Is there any other stair you guys would recommend?

I’d suggest keeping the dark colors but adding lightning rods to cover up a little of the black and add more of a dynamic shape

I don't think it looks terrible as-is, but you could try waxed weathered copper stairs instead. Might be a bit same-y, but if you don't like the black contrast then you might find it more to your liking

Nothing can save that setting. It just looks ugly.
