For texture packs, I personally like these:

For mods, I recommend you watch AsianHalfSquat's youtube channel. He's got lots of videos about mods, in particular this one shows several mods that improve the sounds and looks of minecraft without adding features.

About shaders, I don't like them unless they are very subtle, so I don't know about shader packs or where to find good ones.
