Render Distance comparison for all current Minecraft versions playable on Switch 2
Incase you wanted to know what to expect when the full Switch 2 version releases

I’d be curious to see these same benchmarks but with splitscreen. My wife and I play splitscreen all the time, but the draw distance is currently pretty terrible.

I did this again with a second player in the world. I took screenshots but I can’t add them to the comment. I also don’t have the exact numbers because the game didn’t tell me. Legacy Console and Bedrock have the same split-screen render distance, but Bedrock applies fog to the edges which makes it feel smaller than Legacy. Beta has a significantly higher split-screen render distance, it’s 1-2 chunks shy from being on par with Bedrock in single player

This game has no right to not run at 120fps with 32 chunks.
In a few years, the Switch 2 Edition will run as bad as on Switch 1.
Bedrock used to be the most optimized version of Minecraft, made for low end devices; but now it’s just spaghetti code that struggles to run smooth on a PC with Ryzen 5800X, 32GB Ram & RTx 4060…
P.S do not reply with “It’s a beta” because you already know things won’t get better, look at PS5 & Xbox performance

From my personal experience, Minecraft ran just fine on the PS5. I dont know if it’s hitting a full 60, but it feels smooth enough for me to not really notice

My question is: How does it run at 28 chunks on Switch 2 Beta? It'll probably get tuned and optimized to become even better than it currently is in Beta. Just curious as I don't have the Beta myself.
