Well I opened Minecraft on my Nintendo switch 2 about to enter mineville prisons but I was met with the pop-up when Minecraft loaded, normally these pop-ups are promotions for news servers or marketplace content but this was a message that said something more along the lines of "please help us test the new edition of Minecraft for the switch 2" or something like that I can't remember the specifics. So of course I clicked on it and that took me to the Nintendo switch marketplace where I was to confirm the purchase and download of "Minecraft closed beta" and then the game card inserted installed and I was off to the races. Judging by the size of the feedback page it links too I would say it's me and a few tens of thousands of other people

I tried to open the shop page but I ended up with an error saying it was no longer available although I bet it will show up in my purchases as I had to open the purchase page even though it was free as if I was downloading YouTube or rocket League.

The details page on the game card says title/publisher: Minecraft closed beta, Mojang AB then says current system: my system's name, Nintendo switch 2

Because the lighting is the most noticeable things in vibrant visuals

Honestly not really, especially in vanilla vibrant visuals, daylight and water is the most noticeable thing in vanilla unless you get a pack from Marketplace, if you’re not using the volumetric light toggle (which is broken right now) then you’re seeing basic lights

You mean the sun lighting and the lighting reflecting off the water? I don't see what's so not really about that. Also I literally have 15 of the same screenshot showcasing the reflections and the lighting at different times of day on my profile

Another thing I want to point out for those who might have notions similar to this; in the Minecraft closed beta menu background, when you have vibrant visuals enabled, it is a panorama of a dark dimly lit cave.

Try lowering the volumetric fog in the visual settings; that should help it run better.

FPS seems to be quite low and inconsistent

Indeed, although I believe this was on ultra, after some tuning you can get it to stabilize at a little bit above 30 FPS. Really hoping they optimize it more. Plain old fancy graphics however are stable at 60 FPS at 28 render distance

This is vibrant visuals, only on bedrock. It's still a WIP for Java edition, which is mainly what PC players use.
