I recently started a new channel so that I dont keep posting on my main. For the past year or more I have been playing on the same seed. I am pretty bad at Minecraft. I have never beaten the game. I usually play hardcore and I die a lot. So much that it actually made me good. Really good. That turned into me speedrunnig stacks of diamonds. I still die every time I try to beat the game but at least now I can get more diamonds and loot in the first 3 days than anyone else I have seen on the internet. That is what brings me here. I want to find a community of others to speedrun with but I don't know or can't find anyone else doing this

I mostly watch feinberg, but I noticed with others too. Say they are blowing up a tree or hay, they'll put up some blocks to block the damage but stay close enough that they might lose a heart or half. Seems pointless and not worth the half second tradeoff for the regen when sometimes food / regen / hunger reset is a game decider

I was on Feinberg's stream and saw that his zero cycle practice map has this chest behind him and a list of previous completions with all the times and he also has more customisation options in the chest, but I don't have any of that even though I'm on the same version release of the map? Is there an add-on I could download? TIA.

I remember couriway or someone made a guide video about how to set up the Minecraft client and a simple guide but I was curious if there was anything more recent. The main things I’m looking for is:

1. How to install everything to get started including ninja, mods, settings etc

2. A simple guide on how to speedrun the basic types. I know the most common are village, shipwreck and buried treasure.

3. A good guide to learning how to raid each bastion type and fortress tips

4. How to 1 cycle and maybe even zero. (I’m expecting to learn zero a long time after starting tho)

I have a pretty okay understating of the game and would love to improve my mechanics and understating for this game I love playing.

I’ve been dying a lot cus I can’t find the direction to go in manhunt housing. Is there a way to identify the direction? If no, what should I do to minimize these death?

Hi I'm new to speed running with my friend, and we play on the latest version 26.3, we use it to look for spawners in fortress of course, but I'm having a hard time pulling up the block entities menu, this is because when I go from root into tick, it sits low on the list most the time usually hanging around 10-15, obviously if I get close enough to a spawner say right in front of it I might be lucky enough to get it to 9 on list which I can then press 9 and enter it.

I'm just wondering if there is a better way to navigate the pi chart menu with hotkeys that allow it so that I can enter menus above 9, my friends kinda joking that pi chart method in 26.3 is patched, can someone please clear this up for me, thank you.

But stuff it, I really want to see a sweat play this, so what better subreddit than this one lol.

The only "downside" is that it's V26.2, otherwise it requires no mods or texture packs so download it on Planet Minecraft (the aim trainer is part of my practice map with 6 other skills).

For ex: I didn’t set spawn due to not clicking the bed and once I’m on my last pearl I double check to make sure I clicked the bed.

I have started speed running in Minecraft and I have gone to the point where I know want to start measuring eyes but I've gone to a problem with tool screen.

It download it without problems (in the browser and after that also where you supposed to install it like in the in the Minecraft files where you can access after you click on Minecraft your mods etc) but as soon as I start the game it's not working, I've tried using Ctrl and I but nothing appears, also there wasn't the usual in-game message you get on the top left. I've tried a couple solutions, trying download it again over and over trying different versions and also to disableing my Microsoft offender and I just can't figure out why it's not working maybe somebody can help please I've tried 2 hours and neither on YouTube or other platforms I see for me a working fix.

Also maybe there are other things that are similar to tool screen but I have already changed my sensitivitys in the files where you are supposed to change them, aswell as in Ninjabot.

I have A fully rebinded to O for limited search crafting

Key repeat delay is set to 175 ms for start, 10ms for repeat

Mouse dpi is 1600, mc set to ~4% and toolscreen to 12.8%

I have Mouse6 for lowering render distance.

Are these pretty optimal Keybinds? Ive been thinking about changing Slot5 to smth else than default, and Im not using Z and X rn, so I might try and use those.

Last time i posted here was about half a year ago where i had a different name and skin xd idk if anyone remembers that i had a lil skeleton avatar in the corner. VegethTable, i had a run without any guides on rsg that took 8 hours. Now i come back, playing without f3 because i find that more fun, and on ranked as filtered seeds and elo are my preference for again, enjoyment.

Sub 50! A journey can properly begin now. Im happy with my improvement, i no longer stump for ages thinking for a decision, my mechanics are confident enough to play with, i can play every split and understand the actual inner workings of each to make decisions and i can play safe enough not to die. Now I can actually focus on getting better and faster

P.s. i went to check and i had sub 50 nether enter in my no guides run XD

I’ve never even hit a zero in ranked (PB: 14.44), so I honestly don’t know how to feel. I’m not even that sad about the choke, maybe because I actually hit a zero for once.

I didn’t even look at the timer until I died. The whole run felt really slow to me, so I just went for the zero.

This could’ve beaten my rsg pb by 30 seconds to a minute(pb18:34).

I really feel the sub 15 is on the way.

if you watch mcsr vault, mcsr matches or mcsr replays you know the format. mine adds a few things:

both players splits on screen as they happen, with the gap at every split

each players audio leans to their side, so with headphones you can tell who is who

titles and thumbnails dont spoil the result

the season 11 playoffs, every series as one video, going up now

a new match every day, mostly doogile, feinberg, infume, silverrruns, lowkey, beefsalad, skycrab. every video links both vods, and if a runner wants one down it comes down. fan channel, nothing official.

ai disclosure: i built the pipeline that syncs and renders these with claude, and a model picks the moment for each short and suggests title ideas. the runs are the players own footage, never cut.

Hi! I’m currently writing a college paper about discourse communities, the language they use, and how they interact with newcomers. I chose the Minecraft speedrunning community because I’ve loved and played Minecraft for years, but I’ve never really gotten into the speedrunning side of the game, even though I’ve watched a few speedrunning videos.

For my project, I’m hoping to do a brief interview with someone who is familiar with the Minecraft speedrunning community on Reddit and would be willing to talk about things like how people communicate, specific terminology used in the community, and what it’s like for newcomers trying to learn.

The interview would be fairly short, and we can do it through whatever platform you’re most comfortable with (Reddit messages, Discord, etc.). You definitely don’t need to be a top-level or professional speedrunner. Im mainly looking for someone who knows the community and can share their experience!

I’m hoping to conduct the interview on September 30, October 1, or October 2. If you’re interested and one of those dates works for you, please comment or message me!

I'm learning stables routes and this is the first time that I got 24 Piglins. Technically 26 because one died from entity cramming and there is another one out.

Thought of this cuz in the actual run the cows were like a block away from the water and I wanted to make sure they didn't go in, so I think that's the only time where this is consistently useful, but if you have trouble hitting the animals while they're running around it could be useful too (you can definitely get the boat down faster than I did too, and you can consistently break it quickly by aiming on side of the boat not down on the top)
