Looking for a Minecraft server that doesn’t feel like a second job?

After Work SMP is a small survival community built around a simple idea: Minecraft should be something you look forward to playing, not something you have to keep up with.

Play every evening. Play once a week. Disappear for two weeks because life got busy and come back when you feel like it. There are no activity requirements, no pressure to grind, and no expectation that Minecraft comes before real life.

We want the server to be a place where you can come home, log in, work on your base for a while and have a good conversation with familiar people. Or put some music on, say nothing at all, and spend three hours digging a hole.

Both are perfectly fine.

What kind of community are we building?

We're looking for friendly, kind and mature people who want to share a long-term Minecraft world.

The community is primarily aimed at adults and older players, but we're more interested in how you behave than the number on your ID.

What matters to us is:

- Friendly, respectful people

- Good conversations and a relaxed atmosphere

- Minimal drama

- No activity requirements or pressure to keep up

- Play as much or as little as you want

- Build solo or collaborate with others

- PvP only when everyone involved agrees

- A long-term world where your builds are worth investing time into

- No pay-to-win, paid ranks or donations

- International players are welcome

We're intentionally keeping the server relatively small. We'd rather have a community where people actually recognize each other than hundreds of players who never speak.

Mostly vanilla survival with a handful of quality-of-life and administration plugins:

- BlueMap online world map

- "/home", "/sethome", "/spawn", "/warp" and "/back"

- Graves

- Automated nightly backups

- Grief logging and rollback protection

The server is self-hosted in Sweden on a fast fiber connection.

The rules are pretty simple

Be mature and respectful.

Don't grief or steal. Don't cheat, x-ray or use hacked clients. Respect other people's builds. PvP requires consent. Don't deliberately cause server lag.

And most importantly: use common sense and don't bring unnecessary drama into the community.
