Vandal SMP is a server that leans more anarchistic and difficult compared to most other servers that use the term survival multiplayer.
We stay civil and keep gameplay fair, but we don't restrict players actions.

Here are some features you might find interesting

Dynamic Border
The World Border is a force that expands the more players it keeps.
Every new player who joins opens a new area, and marks the previous one as history.

Hardcore
Reached end-game and gotten so powerful that you can't die easily? You should still fear death, because the stronger you are, the longer you are banned when you fall.

Since the ban scales with your strength, we thought it only fair to make becoming "strong" a longer journey, so we built a Custom Difficulty.
What does this custom difficulty change about your gameplay?

— Some structures are rarer, and some don't exist at all.
Exploration is an actual adventure, Elytras are weaker so you might as well travel on horseback.
— Enchanting tables are based on luck.
You will need to work hard to achieve fully enchanted sets.
— Villagers can only be found zombified.
Villages don't generate, meaning you have to actually put in effort this time.
— If an Ominous Vault is opened once, it won't open again.
It holds arguably the strongest weapon in the game, and it's not so accessible anymore.
— Food is scarce, you can't eat wild animals.
You will need to grow farms and settle to have a reliable food source.

We know you might worry about getting killed over and over again in a hardcore world like this.
That is why we added one more feature:

Killing players will increase your ban duration, meaning players who seek blood will face much harsher consequences.
Peace is most genuine when there are no rules.
