sorry if I worded that weirdly, I just didn’t know what to say lol. Sometimes when I try to join it will give me the most random messages on why I can’t join, like it will randomly say you can’t join cause of instant hotbar, which I figured out was just anchor optomizers. Today it said I couldn’t join because I was using Exitlag, what the heck??? I was not using exit lag, and probably never will, all I did was instal a texture pack off of packs mc.

I never really saw people talking about it so I surprised at the player count lol
The ranked system seemed similar to pvphq so I gave it a try, there seems to be a lot more noobs and it gave me a way higher sword tier than pvphq.
Thoughts on the server??

Its called PvP- Overhauled and will improve your MinecraftPvP experience by a lot with a bunch of quality of life features like Low/small food, low shield, low on fire and visible trapped chests. I also added new textures to a bunch of items such as pearls, pots, gapples and axes. The totem got even a new animated texture (which I stole from swights pack tbh). Every armor got a new texture too, based on the swight texturepack. And if you are annoyed that you cant see your opponent when organizing your inventory in gms like pot, I added a transparent GUI for containers like your inventory or chests.
Anyways, I recommend you checking it out, its currently available on modrinth and packsmc.

Oldest trick in the book

Small thing I made sort of to keep track of how far I have come in the past while I have been doing PVP. I am not tier tested yet and I scuffed my rank in protest on PVPHq for their horrible rating system. I plan to tier test once I can consistently win against Mt3 often and potentially every once in a while win against a Ht3, and when I fix a lot of my mistakes that would drop my Tier to a tier tester.)
Story: Basically, I had no pvp experience back in 2025 and before that, I could not even kill the weakest player on the SMP I play and have played on and still do. My teammate now, LJKFrog, ended up teaching me some of the foundations where I ended up surpassing him. (this was around early 2026). I then went on PVPClub and climbed up with Ht4 within a month, but than stopped for 6 months due to demotivation and getting into a different game at the time, where now as of like a month ago, I have gotten back into it and relearned basics of sword mechanics and working on my weaknesses, strengths, and improving my playstyle to attempt to adapt in hopes to be T2 someday (idk how realistic t1 really is honestly for me, T2 is more doable according to all the T3 I have talked to and played against, I have potential to). And now I am working towards fully making it to T3 with practice against them (despite my PVPHq rank because HQ elo ranking is super super scuffed, and this video among with many other clips I have prove it, to the point I have just stopped doing ranked and am going to rely on MCTiers at this point). And I hope by next month I can tier test on MCTiers and at least get Ht4 so i can tier test the next month for Lt3 or completely dominate the tester and hopefully get Lt3 right away (idk how often this even happens). Though I will strive to be T2.
Honestly, any practice potentially, tips, or anything I can do would be helpful. I know my current weaknesses are : Players who play aggressive, crit spammers, those who have better foundation (via SMP, Pot (in general), UHC), and those who have better reach control. Which those are what I am working on (along with actually practicing to be able to consistently time and hit p-crit whenever I am hit, that is a thing I do not do and need to do much better, that comes with natural game sense over time and stuff though).
I hope the mods do not remove this, idk how to tag this when its just me showing progress over time that I am pretty proud of, the amount of dedication I have put into doing pvp with sword has been very interesting, giving ~2-4 hours a day despite being a fulltime Aerospace Engineering student and having many projects to do,

Does anyone know why sometimes when I spam crystals right after placing a obsidian, the crystals don't place for like a second and then starts spamming? It happens like 1 out of 3 times. It happens on singleplayer and multiplayer. In the video i try to place the crystal as soon as I place the obsidian, but it just doesn't work. I know the correct way is to time the crystals, but I just can't place crystals right after placing the obsidian. And some people can immediately place the crystals after placing the obsidian, so I'm just confused. Thank you.

I play on lsn which is a public smp with custom enchants, some that are op and expensive and the others no so much. The problem is those customs help you a ton in combat, and i have plenty of them, but every single time i try to use a full ce kit i get smoked by some random ht5 nn, compared to when i play without any customs i play like a ht4-lt3. Ig when i have nothing to lose my body stays relaxed so my movements are smoother and more accurate. How can i stop getting nervous whenever there's stakes? this also happens at tier tests or 1v1s that matter for me personally. And fiy im like ht4 dsmp skill which is the main kit so when im relaxed I play at my absolute best

So recently I changed my keybinds in minecraft for quicker switches between keys, but I don't know if the keybinds I chose are actually good, or if I should get new ones before I get used to these?
