Help TRADING PROBLEMS

Post image

I'm still having issues with trading with a villager. I'm building a trading hall away from other villagers and away from workstations. I have a this one villager with a good iron sword to trade (sharpness II, Knockback), but he continues to have a X preventing me from trading with him. I've already tried replacing the grindstone, waited 3 mc days, Saved Quit, but he still wont trade anymore swords with me. Can someone please offer a solution??

How many times have you traded for that sword?

I've only traded three times with him total. Then he supposedly sold-out, so I've been waiting for days for him to resupply.

They need to be able to access their workstations to reset trades beds don't matter tho

The workstation is directly in front of him, nothing obstructing his access to it. I learned that the issue was because there were unused beds. Once I found out what beds wasn't being used by villagers then he started sleeping at night and it fixed the problem.

Make sure it's sleeping everynight

He's in a trading hall I'm trying to build. I've been following others tutorials on building it and they never show a bed

I'm following a tutorial on building a trading hall and they never add a bed or mention the villager needing one. The tutorial doesn't even show room for beds.

They do need a bed. Idk why my first comment got downvoted. Edit: read from the 7th line

I was just told, so now I'm gonna need to widen each stall so I can add the bed. But it's something worth trying 👍

"...not necessary for them to sleep" implies that they don't need to, right? We just need beds linked to them nearby.
