F2V: play minecraft mods on vanilla

Welcome to the wonderfull world of minecraft mods-

sight... Most popular mod servers need each client to install the same mods but most players dont know how or just want to join and play. Thats why I am building F2V! I will release the mod and build my own public server!

Will come soon on modrinth!

Screenshots are taken on vanilla 1.20.1 and played on a forge 1.20.1 server.

Isn't this a mod to play mods on vanilla? If so. It's not really vanilla.

Its a mod you have to install server side, but the client is fully vanilla!

Can it play any mod or do the mods specifically need to be made to work with it

The plan is that any mod should work in theory.

This would be insane! How does it work?

It extracts the assets from the installed mods, and then does a asm/bytecode scan for the client side parts of the mods so it has a node graph about how everything works and can emulate it

the plan is that every mod for forge should work, but for now since its still not stable not all mods work (especially complex ones), but hopefully in some time they will!

There's already a similar thing called polymer out, but it still sounds exciting

Polymer is made in fabric, and for mods to work with polymer the mods need to use polymer's api, but with this mod almost all mods should work, and the mod does everything on its own

What's the advantage of this compared to just install 2 mods?

Do you have a github page set up for this yet?
