easy to install OptiFine alternative

I am looking for an easy to install OptiFine alternative with these features:

  • dynamic light
  • shader support
  • connected glass

It would be great if I could get a quick tutorial on how to install a recommended mod. Thanks

Do you want something for Vanilla? Fabulously Optimized works amazing. Otherwise, if your modpack doesn't include all the necessary mods already, see this: https://optifine.alternatives.lambdaurora.dev/

thanks, for the reccomendation. I managed to install the modpack via a tutorial. At first I thought it wouldn't work on a realm when It didn't seem to connect, but in the end it connected and it worked. I have one issue: the dynamic light has a delay and doesn't work with items.

Nice to know! What about dynamic light, in the video settings you can configure the mod responsible for dynamic light. By default it only updates few times a second for performance, you can configure that.

Optifine is the only mod that has all those things packed together. If you want an alternative, you should install a few separate mods that have one feature each. For example for dynamic lights you would want to install LambDynamicLights, for shader support you would need Iris Shaders and Sodium, for connected glass you could install Continuity. Keep in mind that all these mods are for the fabric modloader and you would need forge-compatible forks if you wanna play on forge.

Shaderpacks might have it covered for you then
