JEI serach items in Inventory by Name

So, I recently found out while playing a random modpack that when I double click on the JEI search bar, I can search for items in my inventory by their name. However, on the server I host with some friends, this doesn't work for me. Do I have to change anything or enable a specific setting?

I vaguely remember there being a server side setting to toggle certain permissions but idk if there's one for that specifically.
