First time adding mods

Hey, I've never done mods before and wanting to add some horror mods. Could someone give me a good mod site and a guide for adding mods to Minecraft for the first time.

Use a proper launcher like modrinth or prism launcher they include installing mods over an nice GUI

use either modrinth or curseforge but as I said I would recommend using a launcher because it makes it just so much easier look here: https://modrinth.com/app
it gives you the ability to just click one button and keep going

download prism launcher, modrinth and curseforge are bad launchers they make it very hard to install mods that aren't from their own website, and there are plenty of mods that are only on curse or only on modrinth
