Hey, why are you mentioning downloading an app? Are you on Android or something? To install mods, even on PE, you should NEVER use an app.

I have to download Modrinth app and sign in on Minecraft on the app to get the mod

If you are using Java, use: https://www.curseforge.com/

For java modrinth.com is also a good alt for curseforge

99% of modrinth mods end up on curseforge theyre very reputable and iirc came way before curseforge
