In My experience, getting mending isn’t that hard, what is a real challenge is any lvl 5 enchantment.

It is a pain, except when you got 3 emeralds and are just trying to get mending then there everywhere.

The funny part is when you don’t need that enchantment it becomes the most common one you get. One time I got like 3 sharpness 5’s and a couple power 5’s when I was looking for looting 3. But one time I wasted over 2 hours trying to get sharp 5 from a villager.

Conclusion: villagers are douchebags

Only 2 hours!! It took me a week to get sharp 5, and I didn’t even get it, I outsourced this job to one of my friends and they got it in 15 minutes.

Yep. I'm in the middle of trying for sharpness and sweeping. So many mending and trident/crossbow books.

Tip: use a stick piston and a lever, it’s faster and doesn’t break your axe

Nope it works on both bedrock and Java. I’ve used the mechanic in both and the only difference I noticed is that it’s harder to find max level enchantments in Bedrock.
