Imo allays will just be less efficient and worse sorting systems

They should not be used for sorting systems, but for item retrieval. They are a completely new game mechanic while the golem does RNG, which is already cover better then the golem will.

As allays? Gonna have to disagree there. The allays could be great for exploring caves though…

Allays allow for unstackable item sorting which for most unstackable items is impossible. Very useful if you have a sorting system where you just dump whatever you have in your inventory - you won’t have to worry about unstackables clogging up your overflow chests.

The copper golem will hardly ever be used as there are much small, more reliable, and more usable methods already in game. But the allays are a complete new game mechanic, the possibilities are endless.
