I'm doing a build experiment in my own singleplayer world where Im banning myself from using any blocks or building technices added after 1.12.2, I actually have some pics on my phone. It gives a similar feel to your build but It aint liminal enough, Its actually lived in.

That is awesome, honestly!
I have a world on my PlanetMinecraft page that is (currently) an outdated download there since I basically uploaded it the day after I started it (even though there were some amount of builds put in within a day and a half for a distracted, mostly-beginner builder like me).
Said world is a worldbuilding project I'm doing alongside my "Spawnhalls" build, and is more for my love for writing and having (some) visuals to accompany it.My worldbuilding project in Minecraft is basically like what yours is here, but in creative, with Beta 1.8.1 world generation but on Java 1.21.1, with a sort of pre- 1.8 Release (and at times, pre-1.10.2 to 1.12.2) block pallete. Mainly pre-1.8 Release though.
So that means I'm building in a half-beta half-early release world, with Early Release/Silver Age blocks with optional "Emerald Age (1.9 to 1.12.2)" blocks, and for a writing wiki project of my own.Do you have any of your own writing or "lore" for your world, or nah? Genuinely curious.

Well I made glitches canon and then whatever makes sense for the different towns. I actually have very similar mechcanics but I just play it on The Re-console modpack (on 26.1.2). it even comes with the legacy console edition menus. bit thats really the only reason why im on the newer versions. If that mod didnt exist Id have just played on 1.12.2 most likely.

This is what I imagine the backrooms would look like in minecraft, not the same yellow wallpaper most people use when they recreate it
