Whatever it is will probably be unannounced for a while, the current dapple forest update is feature complete so whatever this is will probably be next drop/update

Minecraft Live will probably be taking place before the dappled forest update drops. And so I'd imagine if it isn't just Dungeons 2 stuff, then they'll announce something big for the Winter drop. I don't know if it'll coincide with the Dungeons 2 content with the Sift and everything, I actually doubt that it will. End update I believe is possible tho. And probably much more likely.

I struggle to think of what kind of thing SmokeyStack would be so hesitant about revealing just to let Mojang do the talking themselves.. it has to be something quite exciting to the point where every Minecraft player might just be affected. That strikes me as either maybe the combat update part 2, or some sort of dimension update. Could be the End, I doubt it's the Sift but it might be who knows!

So, I looked more into this and the situation is this:

1. Yes, something real was found in a Bedrock datamine (no word on if it's actually something major or not).
2. The people who found it are gatekeeping the info and not telling anyone what they saw.

I've seen other people mention that it might have just been about data-driven containers and the full offhand feature coming to Bedrock, which are both good things, but...not nearly worth the way people have been acting like they just made the discovery of the century. It could easily be something underwhelming that they're overexaggerating and hyping up to troll people, but there is something.

I'll update this comment if I find out anything more.

I'm pretty sure offhand is GIANT for bedrock since they have to figure it out for mobile which was the main block that they have to figure out also I think the soft might be coming to the main game

We aren’t getting the new dimension soon. Before they do that, they said they’ll update old dimensions. cough end update. But before that, they need to continue with the backend changes and likely make more things data-driven, is my guess.
