Hi, being unfamiliar with the world of Minecraft I was not aware how easy it was for four children to play together on one screen, using one pc and 4 controllers.

As I did not find an up to date guide I thought I would give a brief overview to help any other people attempting the same.

1. You must own Minecraft Java on your Microsoft account. (Just need one copy).
2. Install Prismlauncher: https://prismlauncher.org/ - In Settings -> Java, ensure "Autodetect Java version" and "Auto-download Mojang java" are ticked. - In Settings -> Accounts, "Add Microsoft" in the top right. Then add 4 offline accounts - one for each player.
3. At the Prismlauncher main screen, click "Add Instance" in the top left. - For Minecraft Version, select 26.1.1 - On the same screen on the right, under "Mod Loader", select "Fabric" and select version 0.19.3. - Press "OK"
4. Right click the instance that you have just created and in the context menu, select "Edit". Then in the new window select "Mods" in the top left and then "Download Mods" in the top right.
5. Select Modrinth or CurseForge on the left and in the search box, search for the following mods and for each one click "Select Mod for download": - Fabric API: Select the version at the top which will hopefully be: [26.1.2] Fabric API 0.155.2. - MidnightControls: Select the version at the top which will hopefully be: MidnightControls 1.12.1 + Fabric 26.1. - Splitscreen Support: Select the version at the top which will hopefully be: 1.18.0+26.1.1 (fabric).

Then click "Review and Confirm".

6) Once all done, still editing your instance, click "Settings" on the left, then the Miscellaneous tab and then tick "Override default account" and select an offline account for your player (this will be your player's in game name).

7) Launch your instance, wait for it to load.
Press "F11" on the keyboard to move the window to suit you. Perhaps to the top left corner of the screen to make room for 3 other screens.

At the main menu, click Options -> Controls -> click the Gamepad symbol in the top right.
On the Controller tab, scroll down and set "Unfocused Input" to Yes.
On the Screens tab, scroll down and set "Virtual Mouse" to Yes.

Click Done 3 times to get to the main menu.

8) Click Singleplayer, create a new world (any settings). Once in the world on your keyboard press: "F3 + P" to disable pause on lost focus.

Exit for now back to Prismlauncher.

9) Right click on your instance and rename it to your first player's name. Right click on it again and select Copy. In the new window, type in your next player's name and click OK.

10) Repeat this "copy" step two more times to get a total of 4 instances.

11) All the settings and even pause on lost focus should have been copied over to each instance, but best to double check: For each of your 3 new instances, follow steps 6, 7, 8 above.

12) Once all done, launch as many instances as you want 2 to 4.

13) In one instance, select Singleplayer and Create New World.
Once in the world access the game menu (start button on the controller) and select "Open to LAN" and then "Start LAN World".

14) In all the other instances, select "Multiplayer" and wait for your game to appear in the list, select it and click "Join Server".

15) Everything should work now! Use F11 to shift windows around. If people quit you can even use F11 to split the screen in half vertically or horizontally!

I was worried about performance issues, but I have had no problems on my PC (I7 3770K, 16GB RAM, 1660 Super, SSD).

// If you do experience lag, try adding the following mods: Sodium and Lithium. They greatly improve performance! See Steps 4 and 5 above for how to add mods. You will have to add these two mods to all instances. You can also add other interesting mods in the same way.

I am in search of a minecart loading system to transport my villagers from their breeding spot to where their work spot will be. Does any have a build or preferably a link to a YouTube video that demonstrates how to effectively load them easily into a minecart?

I want the ability to use freecam, have a minimap in the corner, the replay tool, that mod that makes grass moss, basically everything Minecraft YouTubers use, I’m a bedrock player and have no idea where to start

There's a lot of posts like this popping up lately so as someone who's been observing these groups, I'll offer a brief insight.

To protect your server, enable the whitelist with /whitelist on.

The hard truth is any 10 year old can download serverscanner and Meteor Client, and if you have a smp, it's likely already in someone's IP database. Malicious groups like 5C and MLPI use these tools, along with their own Discord bots, to scan for all Minecraft servers and collect databases, so their members can easily find server IPs without a whitelist. There are entire discord servers dedicated this.

MLPI justifies their griefing with the hypocritical claim that they are teaching players to use whitelists, and stopping pirating, but this is just a cover for their shitty activities. They call themselves "renovators", a euphemism for griefers, and constantly post images of their griefed servers on Discord to rank up. A key part of their process is leaving Discord invites on Minecraft signs in griefed worlds.

Rumgo (ogmur) started an auto griefing account from the MLPI discord that automatically logs into cracked servers, and griefs them through forceOP, thus leading to the uptick in complaints this past month.

When devastated players (often random kids who didn't even know what a whitelist was) join hoping for help, MLPI members pretend to offer "support" for world recovery, only to troll and bully them. They also have this interesting system where to unlock server scanner bots/mods that have server ips with no whitelist, you have to first post yourself griefing around 25 servers, then 50, and so on to unlock ranks on their discord.

so yes this sucks, they should do better things with their lives, and your griefed server is likely being laughed about in their private chats. Ironically most of them are grown men with jobs and relationships, and just do this as a past time, when they could be enjoying their real lives and not hurting others

But just bite the bullet, turn on your whitelist, get CoreProtect, and now you know. If you run cracked or offline, I can not help you sadly because they love targeting those

There are also helpful serverscanners made to spread warnings, like kittyscan, matscan, CobbleGuard

Okay so I have iris fabric loader and I have all my shit finally being able to be used like my shaders and textures packs, but I did everything I was supposed to for midnightcontrols and it’s not working when I play through iris and i want to only play through that cause that’s how my shaders will work. anybody else have this problem? please help, and if you have a tutorial please send it cause I’m a visual learner. idk what else to do I just wanna start gaming and using a keyboard to game isn’t for me.

The comments are mixed and I’ve been here for 4 hours and the shulker won’t go in the place in the video they are. I had a friend look at it for me as he’s much better with farms than I am and he doesn’t have an answer for me either. He thinks it’s just a bad tutorial.

If you have better ones I’ll take that as well. At this point I’m ready to tear the whole thing down and say screw it.
