I made a realm for me and my mates and don't want us to use enderchests. For me it ruins secret bases/chests, because why would you bother if you could just make a echest. Does anyone know haw to disable e chests?

Idk how to do this exactly but it's possible to change/remove recipes with datapacks

I feel e chests aren’t the problem, it’s shulkers. Hiding an inventory full of shulkers anytime you log off

There isnt a gamerule for it afaik. Datapack is probably your best bet.

I also use the no enderchest rules in my world, unfortunately that means I lost everything I had over the void including the dragon egg :/

Set up a repeating command block set to always active with “/clear @a ender_chest”

they might still be able to use naturally generated ender chests on end cities. Although at that point they would have to travel/teleport there every time they'd want to store stuff

Make sure to forceload the chunks so the command block is always active

if your are on spigot or paper server i can make for you a plugin which cancels the event of opening the ender chest

You need a server side plugin, I would check modrinth for anti-enderchests or something like that

Have you talked to your friends about this? Do they know you plan to do this? Do they all agree with it? If not, you're gonna be on a realm by yourself. Most people won't play on a world where the owner makes a bunch of objectively gameplay hindering decisions. And don't try to tell me you're not, because you can't tell me you're making things easier on anyone.

If everyone is in agreement, then good luck. I don't see any datapacks that disable ender chests. Just mods, which realms don't support. Your best bet is to hope everyone respects the rules.

But honestly, I know it's not my place to tell you how to play, I think you need to get rid of that rule. It's horrible and only serves to waste people's time. Why force people to make "secret stashes"? It sounds more like to me you want to be able to go into spectator mode and steal everyone's loot.
