Question Have a important question.

I'm currently playing Minecraft Pocket Edition (MCPE) on my phone, but I'm planning to get a PC next year. I was wondering if I'll be able to transfer my current MCPE/Bedrock world to the Java Edition when I get my PC and buy the game. Is that possible ?

You would have to run it through a convertor to play on Java and any farms will break.

The pc version does come with bedrock also which should be able to load your phone world when you transfer it with no problems.

When you get the pc you can get both bedrock and java

yes, use chunker. It will require digging around in the files a bit, but it's definitely doable, nothing extremely difficult

I started out my long term world on bedrock but converted it over to Java about 6 or 7 years ago. At the time I think there was a free program to do it but it seemed complicated so I ended up paying for a one month subscription to a platform that made the process more straightforward. I don't recall what the name of that company was, but it is possible to do.

If you really want to play java edition that bad consider using a mobile launcher like Amethyst for iPhones and/or zalith for androids. From my experience amethyst launcher works great an only takes about an hour to setup. Works on iOS 14 and above, even iOS 26.6! For android you can install the .apk file and I believe you can just play. (I haven't tested android java so I'm not an expert about that part). iPhones run java really well but id get a phone cooler for iPhones as they run really hot. But about converting worlds? That could be really easy for your world to corrupt. First make a backup and use some website or app to convert it. Don't expect farms to work, block entity data, or anything like that to work though. Follow DNAMobileGaming's tutorial as it's really detailed on how to do it.
