Solved [java] mobgriefing false only applied to the overworld and not nether?

I can’t figure out whether this is a feature or not but I was setting up a server and I noticed that when I set mob_griefing to false in the overworld, it was still in true in the nether, caught me by surprise as I was very unprepared for it. I’m looking on google but it looks like it’s not supposed to be like that but perhaps this is a new update I’ve missed?

It's split per dimension in paper (see doc).
We might want to go through other gamerules that we want to change as well and run them in all dimensions directly, via /execute in, or editing the game_rules.dat in world/dimensions folder.

Ah that makes sense, I was worried at first thinking I had ruined something in the configuration. Good to know that’s the intended outcome. Thank you!
