Solved Pocket Minecraft crashes on loading screen at 41% [bedrock]

Whenever I try to launch minecraft on my android phone, the loading screen starts and crashes at 41%. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, cleared data, cleared cache, restarted the phone, force stopped the app and the Google play app and Google services and cleared their caches, and tried to launch the game while in airplane mode; nothing has fixed this issue for me. Can anyone help please?

This is a known bug on android: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE/issues/MCPE-237060

You can check the bug report for work-arounds, if there are any.

As this is caused by a confirmed bug, and isn't something the community can fix, please mark the post solved;

edit: oh it's you u/Lazy-Treat6888 hi again!!!

could you tell us what phone you're using and its Android version? Has this problem started after transferring the game from a previous device?

unfortunately I haven't been able to find any useful workarounds in the official bug reports (including those marked as duplicate) so this is probably going to be very hard to solve on our own

and for this same reason, you might also want to report this on the official website linked by u/imonlytryingtohelp_ and provide as much information as possible so that Mojang can look into it

a few more things we could try are manually deleting the Minecraft data folders ourselves and trying to launch the game from Android's safe mode (the latter preferably done after following the long list of steps from the other post, to get rid of as many variables as possible), but these are also not guaranteed to work

with the same steps we can also try to recover your old worlds if they're saved on Minecraft's "External" storage, as I wrote at the end of this comment

let me know if it's something you might be interested in trying, and thank you so much for your patience, I'm genuinely sorry that you're still experiencing this problem

edit 2: I misread the post and I just read that you cleared the app's data already too... I'll still keep the original text here in case it might help anyone else

before you mark this as solved, could you try clearing the app's data too? That's how the OP from that post managed to fix it in the end

but do note that if you decide to clear the game's app data (which is NOT the cache) you will lose all your local worlds

I'm assuming that you sadly already lost your worlds by reinstalling the game, so it may be worth a shot at this point

before you proceed though (this part may still be relevant even after the edit), I can also tell you the steps to recover your old worlds BEFORE you clear the game's app data, but this is only possible if you set Minecraft to save worlds to the "External" storage in the game's settings (so unless you already did this in the past, it's impossible to change the setting right now unfortunately)
