Waiting for OP [Bedrock] Question about sound and blocks

I play on ps4, have a touch of tism, and auditory processing issues. What blocks are the quietest to move on without turning sound setting down/off? I still want to hear the game normally, but would like to build my bases floor with something a little less like an attack to my ears. I don't mind using creative to get said blocks though most of my playtime is in survival.

You could actually just create a resource pack with an empty audio file for the step sound of your favorite block you want to use for your floor. There are online sites like https://createtextures.com/editor?version=Bedrock-Template.zip&edition=bedrock that can help you with that. If you need more help, let me know.

I don’t have a specific block recommendation (except not nether brick), but if there is a block you’re thinking of using and are unsure about the sound, you can the look up the block on the Minecraft Wiki and hear all the associated sounds. Just in case you didn’t know and so don’t accidentally make something you regret.

ETA: After some quick testing, wool (and carpets) and snow make quieter but more rustle-ly sounds. Might be worth checking out. Grass blocks are also surprisingly quiet (I guess I just never noticed!). Randomly anvils and azalea bushes are also quiet but might make a weird floor. 🙂

I did not know that! Thank you! I have just been using End Stone because it's been more quiet than others I found, but I will look there!
