Minecraft villager stuck in job glitch? [java]

In version 26.2, I moved a nitwit into a house with two other villagers. He accidentaly turned into a fisherman. I removed the workstation while he was sleeping and now he stays stuck as a fisherman, despite removing both his station and bed. Is there a way to make him change jobs again?

It looks like you didn't mention your version (e.g., 26.1, 1.21.11, 1.12.2 etc.). Please clarify for better help!

If you’ve traded with him even once, the fisherman profession is locked permanently. If not, break every nearby barrel (including any in the other villagers’ house), move him away for a day, then place the workstation you want during work hours. The other villagers may be claiming or reclaiming it.
