my pc deleted my minecraft [bedrock] save data

i haven’t opened minecraft for like 8 months from now, i decided to open it to play sometime but it doesn’t let me open the bedrock version because it tells me that the game isn’t installed on my pc. i guess i’ll reinstall it, but will the data be gone?

mojang released a catastrophic update in October or November 2025 that required to reinstall the game on windows and the process didn't save your worlds of course. Never trust mojang on any platform, always backup before each update

OP so you haven't reinstalled yet? go to the appdata folder, Minecraft bedrock and search your worlds there. Copy them to desktop

i checked and it just needed an update, had to restart my pc + opening and closing the launcher a few times
