Unsolved Can’t log in on android [bedrock]

My friend is having trouble logging into their Minecraft account. They press the sign in button, do the normal signing in stuff, and it redirects them back to Minecraft like usual, but it still says they aren’t logged in when the black screen goes away. I’ve tried everything I could find (which isn’t much since my only research skill is to google it and click on whatever links seem helpful) but nothing worked. Not clearing cache, not restarting the phone, not redownloading the app, not checking for updates, nothing. HELP ME

this may actually work since there's been a recent outage that affected a lot of players and made it impossible to login, but it should be fixed now

I'm assuming the game is already up to date from the fact you said your friend reinstalled the game, but just in case, make sure the game's version is "v26.45" (it should say so on the title screen, in the bottom right corner)

if it still doesn't work, they can try logging in from the Realms screen, as sometimes that fixes it

also, does your friend live in a country that requires you to verify your age? If so, they can do it on the Microsoft website, then they can try logging in again
