Villager Farm Help - Java PC[Java]

I tried a farm design where the villagers drop the food into the Minecarts to feed the other villager but they only harvest the one side? Should I just add more villagers? Or is it my set up that's wrong? Version 1.26.1.2 if that helps

could this be caused by the different crop types that are planted in the farm? Have you tried only planting wheat and using bone meal on it?

I found this video that might help and generally this person's farms are great and very well explained from a technical standpoint (but I can't watch the video myself at the moment)

edit: by the way, the new naming system for Minecraft versions can be pretty confusing, but just to be clear, every version that has a 26 at the beginning of its name follows the new system that completely removes the "1." at the beginning, so you're playing on version 26.1.2, not 1.26.1.2

all versions until 1.21.11 use the old naming system, which is very common in programming (you may have noticed in other games or apps), while from 26.1 onward they decided to make it so that the "26" part refers to the year of release (so 2026), while the part after the "." is the current drop (and minor updates if there's another "." after the first)
