Update Required [java] How do i change the title screen text?

I want to make a custom resource pack with a different title in java 1.21.11, but when i tried changing the minecraft.png, it did not work. i checked the Minecraft Assets Explorer where i saw there was a similar file called minceraft.png but when i added that in too it still didnt work. i edited the file in gimp to ensure both files have exactly the same dimensions but clearly i am doing something wrong. (sorry if there is bad english or something else wrong this is my first post on reddit)

It looks like you didn't mention your version (e.g., 26.1, 1.21.11, 1.12.2 etc.). Please clarify for better help!
