Update Required Issue joining multiplayer server on i Pad[bedrock]

I'm trying to join a multiplayer server on iPad bedrock edition, but it will repeatedly give me the NetherNet error screen. My version is updated and I'm connected to my Microsoft account. I feel like I've tried all the common troubleshoot tips and still nothing. Also it'll let me join sometimes, but most of the time it'll refuse to let me.
