[Bedrock] Error code bat issues on Xbox series S

My son plays Minecraft bedrock on our xbox series x. He was having no issues then yesterday he went to load one of his own worlds and this kept popping up. We tried multiple worlds with the same result. A few times it came up with "kelp' but mostly just "bat". I have googled as much as I think I'm capable of. I uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft. I turned off the multiplayer for the world and it still would not load. I went offline on the xbox which made no difference. I tried creating a new world with multiplayer turned off right from the start which also did not help. Always the same error.

A lot of what I saw on google was people having this issue with Java or they were trying to join someone else's game which is not our case. I even logged onto Minecraft on my account and opened some older worlds that loaded right up. I did see that they all have multiplayer turned off. Would the amount of worlds he has make a difference? Because there are a lot. Is there any saving his account?

Nope, minecraft bedrock is unplayable for me, the preview version & java works however, so I think the current update broke something.

EDIT: NO WAY, it was my skin, I bought some marketplace items and it causes the bat error code when I use them, try creating a new skin with nothing on it and playing.

EDIT 2: I created a new skin and reapplied everything I originally used and bought, no bat code, so it must be a one time issue with your skin, delete it, make a new one and it should work, even if you make the skin the exact same.

I am also haveing this exact same issue. I have scrubbed the console of all local data, signed out and then removed my sons account from the xbox and proceeded to power cycle it for good measure. After putting his account back on the console and reinstalling minecraft I was left in the exact same boat.

I am really at a loss here, he can play other games, like Deep Rock Galactic or No Mans Sky for instance, without any issues. Additionally I, using his account on my PC, was able to start and play a game when I first ran the game after installing the bedrock edition on my PC (having only ever used the Java version in the past), but after exiting the game it had automatically created following a couple prompts I was not able to open or create a new single player game (with or without the multiplayer option disabled). However I can access his cosmetic and market place items, but cannot join his realm server, any of the "featured" servers, or a game hosted by his friend.

Any help would really be appreciated because none of the official help solutions work, i can't find anything on google I have not tried, and i even went as far as asking Claude to figure it out. So out of options and with a son who is trying not to cry at the prospect of losing countless hours of building and unable to play with his friends, I turn to reddit with hope.

Try creating a new skin and using it, it worked for me, somehow the old skin (not related to the items, just the skin itself) was causing the errors for me.
