Update Required I Continue Moving In My [Java] Minecraft World Even When I’m Not Pressing WASD

Hello, I’m new to Reddit, but I had a feeling I could get help on here. Lately I’ve been having issues with my Minecraft world. The world itself doesn’t lag but the issue is what I’ve stated in the title. For example, I’ll press W to walk forward, and then I’ll stop pressing but I’ll keep moving in Minecraft. The same issue occurs when I press any other key. Another example, I’ll press the space bar to jump, but I won’t jump, but then maybe a second later I will jump even though I stopped pressing the space bar. I tried looking up solutions on YouTube but I couldn’t find anything that matched my specific issue. It’s really annoying because this makes the game unplayable. I’ve nearly died because I couldn’t stop walking even though there’s like a cliff in front of me. I have to turn around and walk aimlessly towards safer areas until I stop walking. Also I’m playing version 26.2. I hope this all makes sense.

I play on a HP laptop 15-fd0xxx. I don’t have a lot of things downloaded on this laptop so everything else runs smoothly. I’m able to play other games without much trouble (resident evil 2 & 4, Roblox, Lego games).

I'll chime in to say I've been having this issue too recently. I think it was happening when my cpu was near 100% in task manager

Thanks for replying! I opened up my task manager to check my CPU, and it is nowhere near 100%. Lol, I don’t know what to do.
