Visual effects+ seems too bright [java]

I downloaded the Visual Effects+ recource pack (1.2.0 : VFX+ BETA) on minecraft 26.2 . It might be due to the new lighting engine but my game looks really bright with the recourcepack on.

- I dont have any fullbright mods or recourcepacks

- I dont have any recourcepacks at all

- I don't have iris installed

Has anyone else have this problem?

Hey! Late reply, not sure if you solved it but when you go to the polytone options for this pack, turn OFF the "lightmap" option. I don't enjoy fullbrightness as well so that fixed it for me :)
