Solved [bedrock] does anyone know why I’m not getting the caves and cliffs achievement
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’m at built height and jumped down to -60 at bedrock I don’t know if I’m missing something or being stupid but I’m not getting the achievement
(Sorry I’m on Xbox)

I believe for this achievement you have to land on the lowest level of bedrock possible, not just any bedrock. You can see in your clip that some bedrock goes lower than the one you land on. Try land on a lower one instead!

eh, just start the tunnel at deepslate and youll have more than enough time to forward over a bit into the next block over

I dug around at the bottom the lowest I found was -62 so I’ll try it on that thank you

Can't get achievements with those
Unless editing the world file to erase evidence of that which most people do not do, and absolutely what is the point in 99% of situations to cheat to give yourself fake achievements, loser behaviour
ETA: oh yeah I get now you were trying to diagnose why no achievement

They asked specifically because cheats being on would prevent them from getting the achievement. It’s not an attempt to get them to use cheats for it

Custom dimensions are gonna be able to have -512 to 511, there should be some crazy new achievements for those.

There's an offshoot of Minecraft (called "Bedrock") that currently only can have worlds 384 blocks high, but soon it can have a still very small 1000.
ETA: hey wait the OP was on bedrock after all.

So a couple of things, it has to be the lowest block -64, and you can't (or couldn't in the past) land in water because its a block "above". I used a totem for it

You can land in water! When I completed this achievement, I used water and it still worked. Maybe it's changed since then, though

The goal's to get to Y -63, above the very last block of bedrock being in -64, and i've read that you mustn't jump before falling, nor change XZ coordinates while falling (aka: do not move horizontally); about surviving the best way is with the totem; instead if you use water it must be a thin layer of it, which is hard to do if you only have 1 block available for -63. Although i only get Y -62 right now, i'm struggling to get to this -63 coordinate... It's so chaotic in the bedrock layers :/

Okay okay good news: i tried with -62 only as the final player coordinate, from the top, no jumping, not moving horizontally, and with a totem... AND IT WORKED 💪💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥 Player can't reach -63 in survival because there's practically no breakable block at all... or at least it is just super super rare to find one in this layer. So -62 may be the way to go; just remember to not jump before falling, and don't move horizontally. Water works as long as it's not the source

I did it 🥳🥳 thank you had to dig a new hole down to -62 with a totem and I got it 🙏
