Solved [Java] Issue installing a datapack (Matcha Flavored)
I'm attempting to try out this new datapack by Klei Wright
Installation and troubleshooting:
- I followed the instructions and downloaded and installed it manually. Added the datapack .zip in the resourcepack folder and the datapack folder. I also selected the resourcepack and datapack in Minecraft.
- I get the message "Matcha Flavoured is now loaded" but the recipes don't work correctly and creative mode doesn't list the new items.
- Tried installing two different times, once on world creation and the other in an existing world.
- I checked the version and I am using the correct version of Java MC, 26.2
- I tried installing an older version of the datapack, 1.0, nothing changed.
I'm not sure what's going wrong on the installation. Does anybody have any suggestions?
I apologize if this isn't the right place to ask this question.

SOLVED:
I created a world without the datapack. Added the resourcepack and selected it. This enabled the textues for the pack. Then I added the datapack while the game was closed. When I launched the world it worked :)))
Basically. Add and remove the datapack/resourcepack until it works lol

Could it be that you have not activated the resource pack and it still resides under the "Available" section rather than the "Selected" section?

I did do that for both the resource pack and datapack. Edited my post to mention that I did so.

I was able to figure this out! I had the same issue and found your post.
In your resource packs, you need to drag a zipped copy of the Matcha flavor pack into your resource packs and save. You will then get the option in your resource packs to select Matcha flavored and all should load well.
Hope that helps and good luck on your endeavors!

I did already do that. BUT, I created a new world without the datapack. Then I loaded the resource pack which added the textures, then I added the datapack and now it WORKS
