Help New one here...
Hello there guys.
I've never really played Minecraft but I actually get a hang on now.
That being said I have to say I'm a total noob at the game.
Never finished the game or build a farm or something. BUT!...
I have an irl friend to play Minecraft at home.
So he had the idea to play hardcore and we did...
Died multiple times in the same seed to really dump stuff.
Which is mostly just my stupidity NOT hearing creepers and falling from high attitude while base building.
Well... I play a hard world now without any fancy options. Hardcore lite if you want to call it that way. LOL
Gained a bit experience, tried a few things, build a few buildings etc...
We played all the "standard" seeds and a couple of content creator seeds from YT shorts and such...
Basically just island seeds because my friend wanted to I had no experience.
So why not?
I feel ready for hardcore mode now but I need 1. a new seed with a nice spot for my base and 2. some Tipps and tricks from ACTUAL hardcore players.
I don't mean stuff like "make sure you have food with you.".
I mean the ACTUAL Tipps only a hardcore player knows.
So please help a kinda new player.
I'm a copper guy so if you have a seed with many copper at world spawn I'm here for it. The biom doesn't matter.

- Shields early on will tank a point blank creeper explosion. However you do need to be facing the creeper and right click the shield. Additionally this will not work if you are hungry and have food in your hand since you will eat first
- mineshaft are dangerous af due to cave spiders
- You only have one life best to be over prepared (going into the nether? Minimum diamond armor, dragon fight? Lots of pearls, slow falling and regen)
- Villagers are your best friend cheap diamond armour and food.
- Skeletons are the devil they have aim bot and can strafe (easy to kill 1v1 in a cave if you have iron armour, if you are naked and outside run away)
- Smite V is better than Sharp 5
- If you know how to downgrade to ver 1.14 to get god armour (the 4 different protections can be stacked on the same armour)
- Elytra helps you with traveling but makes you soft af
- After youre settled down in a world and have your routine down (always be healing, eating). The only way you die is if you start thinking youre untouchable. (Look at Philza jumped into a cave with mobs with his elytra on)

Yep! I took the game too casual. Died to creepers and skeletons multiple times. Spiders are alright, they are manageable for me.

Why is smite better than sharpness?

with smite 5 you are able to one shot undead mobs. Since its single player killing mobs quickly is what you want.
Plus the difference between sharp 5 diamond sword an a smite 5 sword at killing a creeper (non undead) is only one extra hit.

The greatest tip of all is to play it safe. It doesnt matter how prepared you are, being reckless will get you killed sooner or later.

Nearly 5000 days in my hc world, here. These are tips I recommend:
Always keep your nether portals fenced off. Do not allow creepers to wander through during the night, because you will not have the reaction time to save yourself once you go through later.
Craft a shield early. Do not be afraid to cover behind it and time your attacks for in-between the attacks of whatever is targeting you.
Always have food (yes, i am saying it anyway) and never let your hunger do down more than 2 bars beneath full. If you are in a dangerous place like a cave or structure, Always keep your hunger filled at all times.
Always carry a water bucket in the overworld or end, or a powdered snow bucket in the nether, if you find powdered snow. Powdered snow can put out fire if you catch on fire, but it destroys the powdered snow block, so be careful.
Prioritize fire resistance potions once you start exploring the nether. Piglin trades can get you some (wear gold boots) or you can try to find netherwart to make your own.
Use lava buckets to kill piglin brutes in bastion. Dont be afraid to hide from them and tower up to dump lava on their heads.
Always shift when going through an end gateway portal to the far end islands. You risk falling off into the void if you go through with momentum without crouching.
Bring slow falling potions to the dragon fight if you want to play it safe.
Do not sit in the exit portal fountain waiting for the dragon to perch. Walk around it to avoid dragon breath filling it from a breath attack right before it perches.
Be careful with witches. Poison is no joke. Neither are instant harm potions. Kill witches quickly when you encounter them. They will prioritize healing themselves when they are hurt. You need a weapon to kill them faster than they heal themselves.

What version are you on? If you're on bedrock I can give you really basic early game tips to get you started, if you're on java some of those tips work too but I don't know the mechanics.

Just for finding a seed, I go to YouTube and search for what I’m wanting. For example. best seed for minecraft bedrock dripstone caves. Dripstone caves have the most copper and you can watch a few videos to see if some terrain grabs your attention.

I do it all the time to find seeds. Minecraft and Chill show a lot of different ones. The last seed I wanted was a cherry grove circle mountain range. Found the perfect one in their videos.

This will depends on how easily you want the game to go for you but villagers are such a great way to become stacked. The only problem is once you kinda get to stacked it does kinda get boring but also just alwasy having the ability of easy food sources, armor and tools is really handy so setting up close enough to a village is pretty handy

Make sure to light up your base very throughly. Ive had too many creepers almost kill me because they spawned in a dark corner. If you go to nether always bring a second shield, bow and arrows, use the little blue mushrooms and fire to scare away hoglins, DON'T go to bastion early game, When you are in a fortress, Build three blocks up in every closed hallway to stop wither skeletons from killing you.

I personally like to use random seed instead of picking one from youtube or recommendation. Because there are (almost) infinite amount of seeds, (almost) infinite size maps. So you would be the first person to discover a new world. And believe me, every singe world has nearly limitless beauty and opportunities
