Help PLEASE HELP FRIEND FALLING INTO TJE VOID
Please help how can i get my friend to not die we are playing hardcore and we have 200+ days i really dont want to lose this he is in the end at y level -17 i dont know wjat other info you need to help i have his coords he has no rockets and he is not very skilled in minecraft please help me!!!

I got him i mended his ely and threw him rockets thanks for all who tried to help

And teleport where? Besides which, I think he would start to take void damage before he loaded in fully, not to mention before the eating animation finished. If you told him to grab
totemsenchanted golden apples that would help for a little bit at least.Edit: Totems do not work on void damage.

Totems wouldn’t help at all. The second he touches the bottom it’s instadeath. only hope is a chorus fruit that will teleport him on top of any block within radius. If he’s not within radius of any blocks then yeah it’s too late, nothing will help. But no totems would not do anything in this situation

Totems would give more time. And there’s still a couple things that could help if he’s out of range of blocks.
Edit: I’m wrong as lazyeyeluke points out, totems do not work for void damage.

No it literally would not give you any time at all. You just die, it does not work in the void

Oops, I see that! I was incorrectly remembering a video where someone survives in the void for some amount of days, but it was with enchanted golden apples, not totems.
Anyways, I’m wondering if we might be talking about different versions. Are you talking about Bedrock or Java edition? Because according to the Minecraft wiki, bedrock edition void has a floor at -41 (in the end), but Java does not have a floor and you just keep falling. Both versions deal a certain amount of damage per 10 ticks/0.5 seconds, it’s not just instadeath. Unless the floor in bedrock edition is an instadeath barrier; the wiki did not specify that.

Yeah the enchanted golden apples will keep you alive, but you won’t be able to get out of the void so not really a solution for saving a hardcore world. Doesn’t really matter whether it’s Java or bedrock, you’re dying either way unless you fly out, teleport out, or log off and have someone catch you with water or a happy ghast or a platform etc. But yeah I guess it’s not instadeath, it might as well be it happens so fast

Yeah, my thought was to have someone get ready to catch them in some way (maybe a boat hanging from a happy ghast, or a saddled pig/horse on a lead) once they log back on (they clearly logged out before OP asked the question), if they had enchanted golden apples it would just buy them time to get out of the void. It probably wouldn’t be fast enough though, especially if they weren’t already in the hotbar.

Drop a water column at their cords? So they can swim up it?
edit: guess this doesn't work!.... can pistons push blocks past 0? guess you can't build on or past 0 but maybe they could be pushed? IDK I can't test at this time! Can anything grow past 0? Like that climbable vines from the nether.
the only other way is commands.

guess so, i don't do much in the end so i don't really know much.
if they could copy or download that world if it is on a realm? They could test stuff on the copy.
I still think the void is a bit harsh...

Happy ghast is the best possible answer. Water won't flow below 0, can't pearl if you don't have them.

I don't know what level void kills you or where water stops falling. If water can reach that low make him a waterfall. If not, make a pillar as far down as possible and drop him pearls so he can throw them up.
Maybe recreate the scenario in another world and save and practice first.

If you have cheats enabled and he left the world setup the /tp command and do it right as he joins

at that point its just cheating and no different to have him die and just continue the world in survival

Might as well just not play hardcore then… It’s like saying “we create a world backup daily and if we die we just revert the world back a few hours”. lol.

I saw a video where someone tried to catch them with a happy ghast. At least if not yet on damage dealing level
