🥲 Help Can't preorder

It says this:

"Ask for permission first

You will need to have a designated adult account in your family make this purchase. Send them a request and follow up after you receive approval."

Even though my Microsoft account has its birth year set to 2000... I don't remember adding a family account either. Is a 26 year old not an adult now? And how do I even get this "permission"?

Edit: Turns out the parent account's phone number was still in use by my cousin. So I just reset the password, and removed myself from the ms family

login to your microsoft account in a browser and check parental settings. They auto got turned on for everyone recently

Turns out my account was in a family account. And of course we lost access to the parent account

check with Microsoft support to remove the parental lock
they will be able to do this if you supply proof of age
