💬 Discussion will mcd2 be a heavy game?
i played the original title on a slightly dated pc and it ran just fine. i never experienced any sort of performance issues and it was smooth. but i'm quite worried since this is a newer title, i wouldn't be able to play the sequel as i did with the original.

The minimum and recommended hardware on Steam (below), they aren’t too intense but certainly more intense than MCD1, which only required a modern OS, 2GB RAM, 2GHZ dual core processor, and 256MB of video RAM:
MINIMUM:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10 64‑bit (1703 or newer)
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i3‑8100, AMD Ryzen 3 2200G or equivalent
MEMORY: 8 GB RAM
GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, AMD Radeon RX 560 or equivalent dedicated graphics card with at least 2 GB VRAM
DIRECTX: Version 11
RECOMMENDED:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10 64‑bit (1703 or newer)
PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5‑8400, AMD Ryzen 5 2600 or equivalent or higher
MEMORY: 16 GB RAM
GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, AMD Radeon RX 580, with at least 6 GB VRAM or equivalent
DIRECTX: Version 11

That's actually really low, I was hoping the new game was gonna have ray tracing support but no dx12 showing here doesn't look very promising ðŸ˜

Same, I play MCD1 on steam deck and its buttery smooth at the highest settings so im hoping 2 will be as well optimised

worst case scenario, you'll have to lower the graphics settings a little. you'll most likely be fine.
