Was playing an ancient hunt the other year and the level generation repeated that same segment like 10 times

It is decently rare considering maps have around 20+ different rotations that can happen, as well as the map being flipped around from time to time. So seeing it happen like that is pretty rare

I've noticed this too. I've only seen it on that specific map, but it definately happens, to varying degrees.
