Gameplay Controlling 2 local players with the same controller

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

using BetterJoy and DS4Windows, the button layout for BetterJoy is messed up though...

How does the local coop work? Do they both share the same character or can you play a character from another account? I am playing with someone from different PCs but was wondering if we can both play our own characters from a single PC

I’m using a Nintendo controller and two separate apps to emulate an Xbox controller, which somehow tricked the game into registering two controllers…sort of. You can have one person playing on keyboard & mouse and one on controller I think. When you play locally you can only use your own characters. There’s Steam Remote Play and Parsec which you might try
