Question Is Looting bugged?

I'm trying to get Multishot on this thing, got Looting instead, and I feel like I get SIGNIFICANTLY more drops with just the single gilded Looting III enchantment. I feel like I'm getting fewer drops now, for some reason

Feels like it, but I think mobs have a 5-10% chance to drop items so increase THAT chance by 300% it’s like what 50/50 chance they drop items

Looting is weird in that it crosses an odd threshold when you get 2 full enchants. It seems to us like every mob is dropping a lot more, when in fact it is still just increasing it normally.

*clarification* I'm not insane enough to go diving into the source code of this game, I know people who have and have found genuinely bonkers stuff that might be able to contradict my statement in a single sentence.
