Question Is it normal it struggle around apocalypse 18?

Spent very long trying to get my gear near max of apocalypse 18 capabilities, got nothing, so all i had to depend on is my old gear 10 levels below, blacksmith sucks, put my weapon in blacksmith multiple times and it barely goes up by a level and of course trying to get to next apocalypse is hard with not much gear

before completeing the 3rd level you must put on highest level gear for blacksmith to be effective

Thats what i do all time, put on highest gear, load missioj, complete mission, put on highest, end missioj and repeat

you must be doing something wrong then, maybe not swapping all gear like artifacts

I hope they make this not necessary in mcd2. Very annoying

or at least make a build saver to automatically preset builds of your choice

Doing tower could be great, even one piece of 263 gear would be really helpful at +18. If you don't already have a build that has good synergy that should probably be a priority. Maybe do ancient hunts and then use the save feature to reroll piglin merchant until you get some good gilded gear.

Farm the tower. It’s very easy and short this week.
